About Kumejima

Kumejima, one of the remote islands of Okinawa, located about 100km west of Naha City on the main island of Okinawa.

It consists of uninhabited islands such as Kume Island, Oujima, Oha Island, manned remote islands, Torishima, and Iotorishima.

With an average annual temperature of 22 degrees Celsius, the island is blessed with a warm climate, and colorful flowers bloom all year round, soothing the feelings of visitors.

It's a 30-minute flight from Naha Airport, so it's a place where you can go on a day trip from Naha, but the atmosphere of the island is just relaxing! It is a place with a unique atmosphere that is different from Miyakojima and Ishigakijima.

The most famous Hate-no-hama is so beautiful that it feels like a road leading to Nirai Kanai, and the waters around the island are rich in nutrition because the deep sea is near, and the depth of the fish shadow is It is the best in Okinawa.

The rich sea where humpback whales come to breed and raise children in winter.

Since there are mountains with high altitudes even in Okinawa, water has been abundant for a long time, and it is said that the laid-back personality of the people of Kumejima comes from there.

When you drink the spring water of Kumejima, which is super soft water, it is so gentle that you cannot drink other water.

Since the entire island is designated as a prefectural natural park, there are many creatures unique to Kume Island!
